They seem to have pulled this functionality. Trying to claim a blog, I am offered three methods: give them my blog username and password, post a special entry, or embed something in the page. OpenID is not offered. Searching for OpenID in Technorati help turns up nothing useful.

Wait, it does seem to be still there, kinda. Going back to the blog-claiming page I saw two incomplete blog claims. Clicking "Complete" I was offered four methods, the first of which was OpenID, and worked just fine. And this site apparently messes up UTF-8-encoded display names with non-ASCII characters. My middle name should show up as Þór.

They don't let you login with OpenID - all you can do with your OpenID is use it to claim your blog.
